Follow up on the hard starting: Looks like my regulator/rectifier on the alternator is shot, and the battery wasn't charging. Explains the harder and harder starting. Now for the bad news: $ 350.00 (Canadian) for the part, some labour to install and *10 days wait* while it is shipped up from the US! No Canadian parts distributor, and the shop service guy tells me Triumph US don't expedite anything! The weather is perfect for the last two days, who knows how long this will last? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I want my bike back.

Thanks, I needed to do that.

Also, the alternator is a Nippon/Denso 8 diode unit. I can't believe with all the Japanese bikes out there, nobody can source the regulator/rectifier unit locally and I have to wait for Triumph to supply one. Sigh.

Regards,
