Drilling the baffle...why a 1" hole? Just random choice or specific cfm you're after? I'm thinking start smaller...maybe ½" or ¾"? If the sound is still too muffled, go to a larger drill? Also, how 'bout drilling the first baffle first, try it out for power, then drill the second one later if you want?? Just thoughts.
