What tyres do you have? Have you set up the static sag and all that good stuff yet -
http://sportrider.com/tech/146_0308_geek/ - plus google for Suspension set etc... should yield some input. The freeways in LA can be quite tough on even the finest components - the concrete slabs give a bucking kind of ride to say the least. I don't ride that area as much nowadays but I did a lot of fiddling and finally got it right or satisfactory at least. Rebound and compression is the key once your preload is right as per static sag - make big moves in your adjustments to notice the affect then adjust more subtly - I would give you my old LA figures but I failed to write that down, sorry. One thing I do have in my front is 15 wt oil and my weight bias is slightly forward of stock ie dropped triple tree down the forks by 1/2" - which suits me though I know others have gone further. That said the fork to 'tree height may make no difference but might improve your handling somewhat. When were the bushing replaced any idea? :hammer:
