My '05 America started blueing the left pipe (double-walled remember) right out of the box. I took it to the dealer and he told me that he set both mixture screws to 2 3/4 turns. The bike is stock except for AI removal. The left pipe is getting bluer all the time and the right is fine. The bike also seems like it is running lean or something. It has a slight hesitation under normal driving conditions. It runs better and accellerates better with the choke on even when hot. I mean it doesn't really miss or the like but just seems to stumble ever so slightly when I roll the throttle on. It's almost like I have to give it more throttle than I should to get it to accellerate. I tired opening the mixture screws a touch more with a flattened .22 casing but can't really tell if I am really turning them. Could the carbs actually be out of sync instead of a mixture adjustment? I hate to keep running this thing back and forth to the dealer all the time. But the blueing pipe really bothers me. Sorry if I am beating a dead horse here but the dealer may get sick of hearing from me and start blowing me off. I want to put TPipes on it but it may run worse. Any ideas? :???:
