I sported a Ventura rack system on my Sprint RS..... no pictures though. I loaded the (big) Ventura bag up with a weekend's worth of 'stuff', and mounted it to the rack such that it was resting on my passenger seat directly over the rear axle.

It was a weekend of VERY HIGH SPEED RUNS, peg scraping.... and generally acting a fool! I have been accustom to the "System Cases" (saddle bags) on the Beemer prior to my Sprint. I will go on record saying that the weight distribution, and overall 'feel' of my bike with the Ventura system was vastly SUPERIOR to the 'feel' of saddle bags. I thought the lower center-of-gravity saddle bags offer, would afford the rider a better handling machine...... conversely, I think the more centralized mass of my Ventura may have actually been superior to the weight splayed on either side of the bike!

As a result of this thread, I'm rethinking my approach to the Bonneville...... and considering the Ventura Rack System again. Think about it, a Triumph grab rail is gonna cost a gang-o-money, but if you buy the Ventura..... you have the versatility of small grab bar, a short luggage rack that will hold a small day bag, or the big luggage rack that will hold a variety of HUGE bags.
Hmmmmmm........ I thought it was an ugly fixture on my Sprint RS, a chrome Ventura might be just what I'm looking for on my BonnieBlack!

Note:
The Ventura rack system should NOT be mistaken for a sissy bar that a passenger can lean against!
