I had the same problem. I fashioned a hook out of a piece of steel rod with a hook bent in on end of the rod small enough to slip trrough the pipe and catch on the inner end. The rod i used was about 1/4 inch diameter. I did it on the bike . I made the rod long enough to bend an end on it then hit it with the shop hammer and after learning some new words out it popped . If one had a slide hammer puller like ised in the auto business one could hook the rod in it and out it would come. Hope I have been descriptive enough. Ed
