I think the Daytona is a fine bike, but I can honestly do more miles a day on my 01 GSXR750. The gixxer also handles better and performs better. The quailty of the bikes are night and day different. The Triumphs are put together A LOT BETTER. I have been on Triumphs for 5 years now. I have treated the gixxer like "a red headed step child" and it takes it like a champ. I have owned the 04 Daytona 4 months (of witch it has been in the shop for 2 months with a blown motor) and it has 4800 miles, and have had the gixxer a little over a month and have 3,500 extreamly hard miles on it. I should have never gotten rid of the S3.
