Dazco, it is very unlikely that your pipes will cause you any trouble witrh the Man. At least here in Washington, your average cop really doesn't care about motorcycle pipes, in fact many of us ride loud bikes ourselves. Those little tuner Hondas are annoying, but even those rarely get stopped for pipes. Even if you get an exhaust ticket, you can usually get it tossed in court, cause the law uses a Db level and very few officers have a meter.
In short, unless you are being a pain in the a$$ and the officer just wants a hook to hassle you with, you should be fine. I have been a cop 6 years, and don't remember any of the guys on my squad ever writing a loud exhayst ticket.
