My theory on the screen thing;
Try the bike with no screen at all. You'll be surprised how clean that air is, with the noise fairies just kissing your ears on the way past.
Only problem is, there's a lot of air hitting your chest, and the wind goblin is trying to push you off the back of the bike.
Stick a big screen on and this is what happens; the noise fairies hate this, as they can't get to your ears. No more gentle kissing from them.
But boy, have you upset the wind goblin. He's so mad now, he's turned into the turbulence troll, and he's head-butting the front of your bike, and your face. The faster you go, the more he does it. But at least nobody's trying to push you off the back of the bike.
If you like the noise fairies and can cope with the wind goblin, then keep the screen small.
If you hate all that bloody ear kissing and pushing, then stick a bigger screen on and make friends with the turbulence troll.
