On my trip to Crater Lake Oregon, I had an issue.

I was riding around the rim of the lake and the bike felt like it was running out of gas. I gave it some throttle and it went but something was dragging. So i stopped and found this rear brake red hot!!

So I pressed the rear brake and the brake line burst and brake fluid got every where. so after I let it cool down and called for help.... I went to the local triumph dealer in Oregon, which was 100+ miles back tracking on my trip with no rear brake.

They replaced the brake line but said it was not warrantied due to rocks found jamming the brake lever down causing the rear brake to heat up and then the brake line failed. (In Yreka California, I went over a pass on Route 3 and it was in the process of being chip sealed. The***** got every where, but I though I cleaned it all up... guess not.) Called my local dealer and he said the brake line failure should be under warranty. But the local dealer (talked to the owner) would not go for it and I had to buy "his" custom line since he had no triumph ones in stock.

Going to be calling my dealer again today. I will keep all of you updated.

But for now watch for rocks getting in the area above the brake lever, looks like its easy to Jam little pieces of rock in there.
