Hi Gizmo,
I changed my 955 Tiger headlight bulbs without removing the fairing. Just reached in, pulled the rubber rear cap off. Unclipped the bulb holder, removed the bulbs, unplugged the wires and reversed the procedure. The only fiddly bit is getting the bulbs plugged into the wiring. A torch helped here but it was not too hard.
