An old trick is to anneal the crush washer. You place it on a brick or something and heat it up real good with a propane or butane torch. This will allow the metal to crush again when you torque it down. You can do this time and time again and it will seal up nicely every time.
Plus it gives you something to do while while the oil is draining.
