What helmets does everyone run and what are your thoughts about it? If I can ever get out of work early enough to get to the dealer before they close I can have a bike and will be needing a helmet as well. I'm leaning toward something with a flip face and have heard there is now one that has metal hinges and is snell approved. Flip face good, bad, ugly?
Good or bad is mostly opinion, but most flip helmets are heavy and loud. I like the looks of the Roof flip helmet, but it's too round for my head and doesn't vent aside from the flip. Flip or not, any helmet is better than none!

I have a Shoei and love it. It vents really well and I wear active noise cancellation headphones, so it's as quiet as any other! :-D I definitely have a Shoei head, so I'll most likely stay with one Shoei or another once mine wears out.

Best advice is to try 'em on and buy the best you can afford. Regardless of any ratings by magazines or anybody else, you have to be able to wear it without pressure points and feel comfortable with your choice if you come off going 100mph!

What are you waiting for? Take a half day off and get down to that dealer! That's what I had to do this week and I'll pick up my S4 on Saturday. :-D
