Time the engine. It's a critical thing and not hard to do. Each set of points is set individually on the T140, for both gap and timing. Set the gaps first, and then set the timing. You can use a timing light on your model to get it exact. Just be sure to check it with the engine RPM above 2500 so the points plate is fully advanced. Follow the instructions in your service manual.
