My '69 T100 just started to fire erratically on the primary side cylinder...it limps, then kicks in and scoots...limps....sometimes at low rpm and then sometimes at high....I changed the plug and the battery has a strong charge...It will not stay running on the left hand cylinder, (when I remove the other plug wire), but the right hand cylinder will run on its own...I have a boyer ignition and it has been running and idling beautifully as of late...

when it does kick in, it will keep firing as long as I keep the throttle the same, but a slight change and it will cut out again...also a lot of burping and backfiring...

I plan to check the plug wire in the morning and have a look at the valve settings, but does anyone know what would cause this? Is it the coil? Maybe a loose ground somewhere is robbing my spark?

Many thanks for any input.
