It is a good idea to change the oil anyway after a couple of years as it tends to emulsify.

If you are happy with the seal for now then you might just as well drain both sides and refill with fresh oil to spec. Most fork oil has "seal sweller"in it to improve the seal but I am not sure it does much good.

I have heard of bikes which have been tied down springing a leak from the fork seals.
