I picked up a small nail in my nearly new rear tire (500 miles). The bike was in for it's 500 mile service and the dealer noticed the rear pressure was low, so he checked for a slow leak and found the nail...

Dealer refuses to patch/repair tires (insurance reasons), so I was stuck paying way too much for a replacement. I'm picking up my original tire today as it's pissing rain in PA today...

Bottom Line: It was a smallish nail. Can I just patch the tire and use it next year when it's time to put new rubber on?
