my bsa is doing the same thing w/ a newly installed boyer. a bud and i set the timing w/ a strobe light and it ran fine until it got fully warmed up. i think what i did wrong was set the timing before it was really warmed up. i went for a couple miles before but i don't think that was enough. i'm going to back off the timing a bit and go from there.

timing advance is counter clockwise on the bsas and clockwise on triumphs btw.

pinging can really hurt the engine.
