Oh Yeah,
Had this happen on the inaugural run to the hills for my recently aquired 98 T595. Turns out that a previously bodged up fix to a cracked fuel line connector failed and was spraying like a fire hose all over my back tire. The very real possibility of descending Brasstown Bald stradling a ball of fire with the rear end stepping out like Joe Jackson in heels gave me pause as I sat on the side of the highway trying to figure out a stop gap fix using a hose clamp and a rubber worm fishing lure. When that didn't pan out I went with a hunch and left the leaking fitting (the top one) disconected and started it up with just the bottom hose connected. It ran just fine and I made it 100 miles back home, including a 140mph top end check! I don't know yet what I did or even if I connected the proper hose but until I can replace both fittings, I'm running it like that.
Cheers.
