It should be a trivial matter.
Leaving an intersection Monday, not pushing it hard because I'm still in break-in, I had the surprising sensation of the forks reaching the end of their travel and front-tread contact area suddenly diminishing... with plenty of throttle left! It was very distinctive, and it's a sensation I have studiously avoided on my other bikes, but it was quite comfortable on the S3.
That was in second gear--not right after shifting from first, but when I inadvertently gave it a little extra throttle just prior to reaching 6000 rpm, where I planned to shift to third.
It leaves no doubt in my mind that a pure wheelie in second is <u>very</u> do-able anywhere in the vicinity of peak torque.
