Hi,

I just bought a '96 Adventurer with 31000km on it. It original no mod's. Since I have for a month, the tach is going erratic at about 3000rpm. Before I took it out last week I washed it with s-100 cleaner for motorcycle. To my surprise the tach goes from 2000 to 5000 rpm as it was receiving some surcharge. The high temperature light came on also wich it never did before the wash. By the way ,I touroughly rinsed bike for soap residue. So this weekend I disconnected the tach (three pin white plug) to the tach and this morning, going to work, there is still somme movement of the needle in the tach, from 0 to 2000rpm.

HELP !!!
