British weekly 'MotorCycleNews' did an article early last year on the subject and had a couple of spy shots of the bike. They alluded to it being a 680cc triple because it would be legible for World/British SuperSports racing at that capacity and it also had an F.I.M. spec toe guard fitted (sharknosed fin on swingarm!). Packaging a 680 triple for racing would not only be easier than it's outgunned 599 but would fit in with Triumphs Triple marketing so they say....Aprilia and BMW are now also looking more at triples for racing but may in fact be working on the same project.....Apparantly :hammer:
