Hey Tommy,

I have read motomans guidelines and while I can see the logic in his arguments, I would be very reluctant to ignore the manufacturers recommendations, after all they designed the thing. I have broken in quite a few bikes over 35 years or riding and I have heard all the theories about "bikes that are run in hard, go harder". These theories have been around for years and yet bike manufacturers still don't subscribe to them. It is a relatively short run in period for the S3. My recommendation would be to stick to Triumph's recommendations, but don't go too easy, that may not be too good either.

Good luck with the new bike. I am waiting too...another three weeks for me. The waiting is killing me.
