Well Richard - I see nobody is willing cop to doing what you did...and I'm sure many have.
I have done it - on a ZX10 - maneuvered it into the garage, got off and walked away....crach, bang, boom...forgot to put the sidestand down....oops! Thankfully not much damage.
The worst was when one of my bikes with a very tipsy centerstand got nudged - rolled forward and over to the right - causing a chain reaction with 2 other bikes all rumbling over on eachother. After a herculean effort I managed to get them all upright again - with very little damage. Amazingly the sidestand of one of them caught onto the bottom tube of another sort of holding them both up in the air - thanks to the motorcycle gods.
