Hi Simon,
Nice bike - mine's a 1995 :-)

Certainly check those tyre pressures as soon as possible. I suspect pressures are your problem, but you at least need to eliminate them as a cause early, in case you have a warranty issue with the dealer - eg, steering head bearings.

(I know you'll check them before each ride - right??) OK, OK, I admit I only check mine once a week, but I don't ride a lot in the week, and anyway two wrongs don't make a right.

Did you have luggage fitted? Might have had an impact if topbox was loaded.

Certainly my bike is very stable at high speeds, and my tyre pressures are close to the max recommended.

Regarding screens - I bought my bike with standard screen & a taller screen included. I've actually now cut down the taller screen, to about 2 inches lower than standard. This for me has given me the best ride, moving wind buffetting from helmet to shoulders. (My taller screen, before I hacked it, made the wind bounce off my head worse than the standard screen. (I'm only 5'6" by the way.)

Remember to check your suspension setup too, if you've just got this bike. Play with the settings to get it right for you.

Happy Riding,

Martin.
