The link I have lost but it seems that that series was hampered by some mechanical failures due to oiling problems both at the crank and the cams. The consequence was to limit the horse power to 100rwhp of the participating race bikes. Does anyone know specifically what people did to overcome those problems? I had heard that the oil passageways by some had been altered - how, where and by whom is of interest to me.
Recently my 95 S3 popped a big end (75000m) and I have seen a few S3 cams with journal wear of a rather nasty nature - yes my bike was far from stock - but the rebuild process has'nt started as of yet - hence my interest! :hammer:
