Great choice for a trip like that!. I am on my second Tiger now and can honestly say that i have found them to be completely reliable in all the environments i have ridden in.

The engine control management system on the efi tigers calculates altitude and humidity etc, so the bike is always running on the optimum mix whatever altitude you go up to.

Fantastic mile-eaters - sit back and watch the world go by, but get the Gel saddle unless you are an 'iron butt'.

Fuel economy is good if you stay below 90mph and you can load them up like a pack mule and it doesn't seem to affect the handling to any degree?

Yes i am biased, i have ridden plenty of bikes over the years but i have found the Tiger to be the only bike that does what i want it to do on the day? You dictate the rules and the Tiger follows you.
