I recently took my first ever track school, CornerSpeed, at Virginia International Raceway, Daville, VA. I took my 2002 Speed Four (one of the few that made to the US before the factory fire). I had a blast and intend to do more track days. While, I am far from knee dragging, I thought the bike handled really great. As for top speed, I saw indicated at 135 mph (probably slower in reality). MCN's article said top speed is 138 mph. I hope these images turn out.
