Being in the process of convincing myself to replace the cheapo comms unit with an Autocom, I'm looking at electrics myself - just having a look in the handbook, and can't see any fuses for heated grips (given bike being a 2000)? Does this exist?

According to my handbook, fuse 10 is the accessories fuse, anyone got any idea what this powers? Is it only the power outlet under the tank? Is this switched?

Jim - which switched live did you take power off for your extra power box?

Any help much appreciated, same as IPG I've got a bit of respect for the electrics, don't want to mess around too much, although I like things being tidy.

Stupid question last - I assume earth is negative (?) but where do you guys take it from? On a car you can sort of take it off any bodywork, do you have to take it off the battery on the bike?
