This may interest you. BTW, I think the ST's speedos are a liitle more optimistic than the RS digital;
(posted 29-01-05)
"OK, I can verify my RS is reading 6% fast.......that's with half worn (7,000kms) Bridgestone Battleax 020's at correct pressure and run at 100 kph (62mph) and 120 kph
(75MPH) twice
So 100 is actually 94.25 (60 mph is 56.5)
and 120 is actually 113.25 (75 mph is 70.75)
I wonder if these digital speedos are pretty close across the RS range...maybe only tyres make the difference!
It's reasssuring to know that 120 on my clock in a 110 zone and 110 showing in a 100 zone should be OK with Mr Plod.
Incidentally, my Suzuki GSX14 and my old Mitsubishi Triton V6 were line-ball with the RS figures. My new Ford Falcon RTV is slightly less optimistic but I am convinced that all manufacturers make their speedometers read fast for whatever reason."
