It is possible to fit the lock.
The other (much easier solution) is to convert the seat to bolt on by way of adding some brackets. to make the seat fit properly you also need to pack out the seat a little at the front to make up for the difference in the frame shape.
I have previously converted a late Thunderbird to key lock (same rear subframe as a legend), and also fitted a solo seat. - been there done that, look in my photo album, link below.
