The tank seam is due top the manufacturing process of the tank, Thunderbirds have it as well. Your alternatives are a custom tank (Wilcox, Tankshop, etc. - pricey), try to get it hammered back like the Kawasaki Mean Streak's tank, or paint that part of the tank black to hide it.
