Hi All,

Had the pleasure of taking one out last Saturday.

It looks even better in the flesh than the pics suggest, although my test ride didn't come with panniers.

Engine is incredible and revs freely, though I think this is simply better response from handle bar input more than anything else. It does pull like a train, but then so does my '03.

The sound his HUGE improvement and does make you feel like a GP god. Although the pipes look simply stunning, there is not enough room to store a chain/lock on the bike...so an alarm is a must.

The fit and finish have been improved too, especially around the cockpit area.

I couldn't rev past 5000 has the engine only had 99 miles on it, and the tyres weren't scrubbed in and I was only allowed 30 mins on it...so I can't say how improved the handling was.

The ergos are similar but overall an improvement. Its a bit more over the bars...the seat remains very comfortable.

Would I get one? Well yes and no...I don't think its a big enough improvement over my 03 to warrant spending an extra £3800 after I trade mine in. Either that or I'm tight fisted...

In short the VFR has been effectively killed off...I never liked riding one anyway...
