Be warned

I sourced a replacement battery for my YTX12-BS from a local battery place. The direct replacement according to them is a CTX12-BS. Which according to the nomenclature would appear to be correct. BUT when I mention the Sprint has the battery fitted laying on it's side the battery guy said the CTX12-BS must not be fitted this way or it will leak. Refer attached pic, he says if they have the caps circled in red they will leak if fitted anyway but up. I don't doubt his word so I'm going to get the Yuasa OEM.
