Storms
Back in 2005 October 2005 I was drinking great Cuban Beer (Bucanero) on the roof top bar of the Inglaterra Hotel in central Havana when Hurricane Wilma struck. We were stuck for five days, what a joy, in this elegant structure. All around us mayhem and huge seas. Flooding like you have never seen! What struck me was the Cuban Government's reaction to this age old problem in the Carribbean. Huge army trucks evacuated whole towns and villages to higher ground whereupon food and shelter was provided. Then, when the weather abated, back they were taken to clean up their homes. No loss of life.
Whilst in the Inglaterra we watched CNN live from Key West and the Florida Coasts. Women whining because they were without electricity and their air conditioners were not working! The one petrol station in the same place with car's four times around the block waiting for their ration of fuel.
But nothing beat the beautiful black long haired female Cop's, immaculately presented, on their even more immaculate Moto Guzzi patrol bikes
