I haven't ridden w/ you "en flagrante" but I'm gonna guess that we put a similar demand re: stick.

Try a set of the new Avon S/T tires. They supposedly wear wonderfully, and I rode on a VFR that had a set at VIR and I simultaneously dragged pegs and knees on several occasions w/ nary a single slide.

I'm running Michelin Pilot Roads on my Daytona right now because I needed to bias myself toward mileage...my Metz Sportecs were _shot_ at 900 miles...and I mean shot. the rear literally looked like a slick except for the outside 1" or so, which had a modo***** of tread. Granted I did 3 track sessions on them (as in (3) 15 min sessions, not (3) days) but still...900 miles???

Anyway, the Pilot Roads are sticky enough to drag stuff on Deal's Gap w/o incident, and I'm happy w/ the wear pattern so far. But all of that said, my next tires will be the Avons. I'll find the model # and post here, but they are the sport touring ones.

Hope this helps...
