988 kit experience

I am considering going full stage three on my 08 T100. New Bonneville has a 988 kit. I am wondering if anyone has installed one and what was their experience with it. The one thing that slows me down is that the old Turner 500s were sweet little machines, dependable and even somewhat smooth. When Triumph went to 650ccs, that all changed. The T100s mirrors at ninety look like the bike is parked. I wouldn't want to lose that, but I would like to be able to putt along in low gear without having to slip the clutch (I know, it might be easier to drop a tooth on the motor sprocket). In any case, I already have this image in my head of the bike sitting there in my shop, this winter, torn down to the cases, fretting over when the **** jugs are going to be back. . .
