Also check that breather tube. Just disconecting from air box and looking for fresh oil is easy and fast.

If you still can't find a reason, and you seem quite positive its not a fuel issue (i was leaning with Bomb on that one) get a compression check or Leak down test done. If the oil is getting past the rings, thats the number one reason for burning smoke, the test will help diagnose the problem.

Start the bike up, and once the smoke is coming out pretty thick, stick your hand in it for a moment, then smell. Fuel and oil have two very distinct scents.

If its fuel, i would check the mapping (weird it would change for no reason). Another one would be exhaust valves not closing all the way, and excess, uncombusted fuel burning off in the pipe causing the smoke and delicious smell. Another issue that would be identified via compression test.
