Thanks Jim! I'll be off to the hardware in the morning, and then clean and reassemble. Good advice about ride it as is for now - the problem with this forum is that I read about all of these things folks have done to their bikes, and I feel like a kid in a candy store. Oh well, oldest is off to college in the fall, so I might better keep the cash flow down a bit
