I've had my RS for a couple of weeks now and I just about did what you guys are talking about twice in one day this weekend. Lucky for me I figured out what was going on before hitting the point of no return. My aunt wasn't so lucky...we made an unscheduled stop to add some clothing and she parked her bike on a slight downhill slope My uncle tossed her a shirt he didn't need and asked her to put in her saddlebag. According to her the bike was in gear and mysteriously popped out of gear. The result was the bike started to roll forwards and of course the kickstand folded. She was lucky though and all she needs is a new signal light. There's also a good scratch on the fairing. I'm now trying to get in the habit of visually checking that my kickstand is fully deployed before setting my bike on it.
