I think that fit is the most important thing to consider. It must be snug around the head and cheeks. Too tight and you get a pain in the head. With some helmets a person can change pads for a custom fit. What works for me may not work for you as far as brands go. Living in Fl. I need a helmet that is cool and the Shoei X-11 is the one for me.
