The 'Scrambler' as we know it is supposed to represent the TR6SC and in particular Steve McQueens 1964 ISDT bike, Which you can read about in the Book 40 summer ago. A great book and if your a fan of either the bikes or the man it's a must have!

this pic is of a 66 Triumph TR6SC, and my favorite bike of all time. And yes as far as i'm aware these model were for export only.


you second picture is of a new Bonneville that has been scrambled.

Im not sure if you are saying that your top image is of A bike that was raced by McQueen, but as far as I know by the mid to late sixties McQueen had progressed from Triumph based motorcycle such as the Bonneville and Triumph based Rickman's to Husqvarna's.
