So my advice would be to keep the stock rims for your road rubber, & fit some Excell Rims for bush work (Buchanons Spokes & Rims have them). Or you could do what I've done & fit Metzler Tourance tyres to Excell Rims, & then you've got a tyre & rim which can take everything the bike can dish out, on all surfaces.
NB Road tyres won't make a Scrambler handle any better, as the Tourance's hold on brilliantly, until the pegs scrape. & this would be the limiting factor for any tyre.

Appreciate the quick response. I agree that the the spoke wheels look best on the Scrambler. I have had bikes with spoked/tubes wheels before and didn't have but a couple of flats. Got lucky on one as it happened close to home. The other meant having the bike towed as opposed to a simple plug and go if I had tubless tires. Still, the odds are in my favor that it will never happen again.
The Tourances are great tires. I'm sure I could find a decent compromise tire. I'm just in the research phase of looking into a Scrambler and the possibilities for the bike. Thanks for your input.
