Without knowing any info on what emissions model bike you have or seeing a picture, I would say the previous owner probably deleted the factory emissions equipment (charcoal canister and whatnot). Look on this webpage and click on the thumbnail for 'Evaporate Loss Equipment': http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/triumph-motorcycle-speed-four/o/m6897

Does any of that look familiar? If the lines are vacuum lines, you'll want to cap them better than tape; if they have no vacuum they should be good. Is your bike a 'green state' model (i.e. CA)
