I really can't stand tailgaters and here in Colorado it is a real problem. In my car I have had people so close going down mountain roads that I couldn't see the grill of their vehicle. On a bike this really concerns me but a couple of suggestions would be to get a taillight modulator, a little flashing from the bike may warn these people, the other suggestion is to pull over when you can because it is just not worth it if things escalate into some 6:00 pm news story.
I have called in plate numbers to the Sheriff and they will send a letter as a aggressive/reckless driving warning and that will show on their computer record.
