Well, this is where they get you of course - scottoil recommend their own brand of oil for the thing, and it's not cheap.
However, a can of chain lube isn't that cheap either, and the stuff scottoiler sells has a certain cling to it that seems to stop it just flinging off all over the place - although if you adjust the flow in the wrong direction it will do just that.
Well there it is. For the price of the scottoiler you can buy a great many cans of chain lube.
I just love a nice clean chain though.
