Thanks Gentlemen,
That pretty well answered my inquiry. I guess I was being a bit obsessive but with a 10k bike, I don't want to screw anything up and wasn't aware if there had been any changes to the old chain mystery.
Actually, the post from alcalift made the most sense and when I checked that measurement, it was equal so I must have done something right.
I appreciate the feedback, funny about the "old timers" though.....lol...
