I removed them after taking the weld off and I rode for a while last night. A couple of things I noticed.
1) from idle to around 3k rpm there isn't a huge difference in the noise under load
2) over 3k rpm it is lower and louder by a noticable amount (your right the video doesn't do it justice.
3) once you are in high gear and back around 3-5k rpm (highway speeds) you do get a droning that isn't as loud stock.
4) if you run it without the baffles you need the remap.

Personally I like the sounds that come from that monster when the baffles are out. The first light i hit when i got off the twisties there was a car full of girls that were like NICE BIKE and they started yelling and stuff. that could have had something to do with it... love the triple
