Hey Dave, Welcome. As to your problem the first place to look is at the coils. If it doesn't run well at low rpm's but clears up and runs beautifully at higher rpm's then the first culprit with my two bikes is the coils. I have replaced the original coils on my Legend twice(six coils.) My Trophy 1200 is still running fine but I understand that all Trophy coils fail sooner than later. I think that a '92 Triumph is a pretty rare bird. Possibly a collectible in a few years. If it's a good example I would think in a few years it would be going up in value and not down.
