I Change my shocks from stock for 2up to 13" progressive 440's for solo. I use a Motorcycle jack with a 5/8x14x20 plywood and position the jack where the middle meets the 1st rear bend the on the peg or footboard bar. That seems to be the balance point. I got mine at Harbor Freight cheap and use it for all bike work and washing.
